Museum Kata Andrea Hirata
The Andrea Hirata Word Museum is located on Jalan Raya Laskar Pelangi No.7, Gantong, East Belitung. The atmosphere presented by the novel Laskar Pelangi was immediately felt when setting foot in the front yard of the museum. Photographs posted in the museum's yard are like telling stories about the journey of literary works which is one of the pride of the Belitung community. Entering the museum and the atmosphere was increasingly felt. In this room, you can see photos of the author with inspirational sentences. One of them is the one that reads "Dream because God children embrace your dreams".
In addition, there are also footage from novels that have been published in various languages. Going deeper into, visitors will be greeted with a very comfortable room, complete with tables and books left scattered on the table. In this room, also displayed photos of the Laskar Pelangi movie scene.
Laskar Pelangi covers published in various countries also adorn the walls of this room. The museum was founded by the novelist Laskar Pelangi, Andrea Hirata. To enter the museum which was inaugurated in November 2012, visitors are not subject to entry fees. The Museum of Andrea Hirata's Words became the first and only literary museum in Indonesia. Visiting this museum can make visitors know how literary works are an important part of life. From this museum, visitors can get inspiration to love literature more, both in Indonesia and abroad.
