Indonesia really does have something to offer all year round, with destinations to suit all seasons. Yet depending on the type of trip you’re planning, there’s definitely some dos and don’ts.
Weather-wise, the best time to visit is during the dry season, May to October when there is no rain, just a whole lot of sun. Whilst the temperature remains warm during the wet season, November - April, this is when the monsoonal rains hit, bringing with them a whole lot of mud and mozzies.
If you are planning to head off the beaten track and explore the more remote regions, flooding and landslides can occur during the wet season making this type of trip a lot more difficult. The seas are also much rougher during Jan and Feb, so if you are planning a diving or snorkeling adventure, dry season is the time.
